Roland Mikler drew a crowd no rival could touch: 740 men and 737 women, a near dead-even split. Tiago Rocha's support ran 81% male, Alex Dujshebaev's 85% male, Aron Palmarsson's 85% male — handball's usual men's-vote pattern held everywhere except at the very top.
Home turf shaped the rest: Hungary's 933 votes anchored Mikler, Portugal's 458 lifted Rocha, North Macedonia's 322 carried Dujshebaev. But only Mikler's coalition crossed gender lines, and his share never dropped below 51% across 50 days, closing at 51.1% to Rocha's 26.9% — a 24-point cushion built on breadth, not just a home crowd.
