The Esporte do Mangue vote became a two-band duel: seven lead changes at the front, followed by a final Fluorescentes victory over W2Rockband by only 0.4 percentage points. Fluorescentes collected 434 votes to W2Rockband’s 428.

The winner’s 26.7% was hardly a mandate in a 50-option field. Brazil, the largest country bloc with 315 votes, leaned W2Rockband despite Fluorescentes taking the overall result.
