Sabrina M. Barek came out fastest, holding roughly 40% to Ilenia Pastorelli's smaller share for six straight days on the strength of Italian voters. Then on day 7 the race flipped hard — Pastorelli jumped to a 40% share and never gave the lead back, stretching to a 46% peak by day 14 before both settled into a near-dead-heat finish.

The final gap was razor-thin: 44.3% to 43.7%, just 73 votes apart out of 12,289. Italy itself split on national lines — the country leaned toward Barek even as Pastorelli swept nearly every other market, from the United States and Albania to Switzerland and the UK, powering her comeback from outside the borders.
