Ilenia Pastorelli takes the moral-victor title 51.1% to 39.2% over Vito Mancini, and together the two ate up 90% of all 4,503 votes. Everyone else split the leftovers: Gaia Bruschini is the best of the rest at just 3.5%, and 27 other nominees never cracked single digits, several stuck on a handful of votes total.

The margin holds everywhere Italy's diaspora showed up to vote — the U.S., Albania, Malta, Switzerland, Germany all lean Pastorelli same as the 3,622 home votes. Both frontrunners pulled overwhelmingly female support, but Mancini's coalition ran even more lopsided than the winner's: just 12.5% male versus Pastorelli's 17.5%, women who couldn't quite carry him past her.
