Majlis members are currently required to submit their asset declarations to Secretary General of the Majlis, and Judges to the Judicial Service Commission where 3 judges (one each from the Supreme Court and High Court, and one from the lower courts) sit. Do you think this creates a conflict of interest?

The 2013 Global Corruption Barometer survey and the 2014 Democracy Survey show that majority of Maldivians perceive the Parliament as the most corrupt institution in the Maldives. Do you think making asset declarations of Majlis members public will increase public trust in the Parliament?

President, Cabinet Ministers, MP's and Judges are constitutionally required to submit their asset declarations. But there is no constitutional requirement for the Vice President of the Maldives to submit his asset declaration. Do you think this is a problem?

Anti-Corruption Commission says MVR 1,871,424,611.39 has been lost due to corruption offences and corruption related activities. Do you think asset declarations will help to detect cases of corruption such as bribery, fraud, vote buying, and illicit enrichment?
