Do you think we should use technical means to limit government surveillance - in the knowledge that it doesn't only protect average citizens but also criminals? It is something I have debated at length with colleagues but I would be interested in your opinion. Comments are of course also welcome.

Last week I had the incredible opportunity to talk with Edward Snowden. If you are interested Ross Anderson posted some details from the meeting: https://www.lightbluetouchpaper.org/2015/05/02/meeting-snowden-in-princeton/ And as it seems we are stuck with Cameron and consequently it is likely that the surveillance program will be extended I have a question for you. Do you think we should use technical means to limit government surveillance - in the knowledge that it doesn't only protect average citizens but also criminals?
