In a Facebook poll of 2,867 respondents, 40.2% chose “Cata”. How we count
Strip away the day-by-day chart and a sharper story appears: this was two different audiences voting for two different eliminations. Cata's support was overwhelmingly female — about 77% of her identified voters were women — while Edu drew a majority-male crowd, men making up 55% of his backers. Lydia and Terry skewed female too, but neither came close to Cata's total.
Geography told a dissenting story too. Spain cast easily the largest single-country bloc of votes, and it leaned toward Edu — not the winner. Nationally, Cata still finished comfortably ahead, 40.2% to Edu's 31.1%, having held the top spot from day one through day 76 without interruption. The eventual winner and the biggest voting bloc simply wanted different people gone.
- Gender split · Cata's voters were 77% female; Edu's were 55% male.
- Spain's dissent · The largest voting bloc, Spain, backed Edu over the eventual winner.
- Steady margin · Cata held first place every single day from day 1 to day 76.
