Guitar Hero 5 topped every single day of this 1,055-day poll, finishing with 33.2% (1,362 votes) over Guitar Hero 3's 27.7% (1,137), Metallica's 19.4% (797), World Tour's 14.6% (600) and Aerosmith's 5.1% (211). Straight, uncontested result — no lead change at the top, ever.
But GH5 wasn't invincible: its own share slid from 42% on day one to 33% by the finish, as Guitar Hero 3 quietly passed Metallica for second place right around the poll's midpoint and kept climbing. The push came from Latin America and Indonesia — Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Colombia and Argentina all leaned Guitar Hero 3 — while the US and UK stayed loyal to Guitar Hero 5.
