Nursel won the comeback poll by the slimmest of margins: 425 votes to Tony’s 414, a gap of just 0.7 percentage points. After Nursel led through the opening stretch, Tony moved ahead and held first at every later checkpoint—but not quite to the finish.

The result was hardly a mandate in a 10-option field. Mevlüt placed third with 16.1%, leaving the winner only narrowly ahead of the closest challenger.

Tiny margin · Nursel finished just 11 votes ahead of Tony
Late leader · Tony led at every checkpoint after day 10
Fragmented field · The winner took only 26.1%
