In a Facebook poll of 4,381 respondents, 94.8% chose “لا”. How we count
This wasn't close on day one and it wasn't close on day forty-five: لا opened at 94% and never dipped below it, closing at 94.8% (4,154 votes) against just 227 for نعم. Across 45 days and every single day-by-day snapshot, the margin held in the same 94-95% band — a verdict, not a contest.
The rejection cut through every audience that showed up. Tunisia supplied the bulk of the vote (1,795) and still broke لا, and so did every other country in the top ten — France, the US, Canada, Germany, Italy, Qatar, Belgium, the UAE, Saudi Arabia. Men voting لا outnumbered men voting نعم roughly 19 to 1; among women it was closer to 14 to 1. No geography, no demographic, ever gave نعم a foothold.
- Steady from day one · لا led at 94% on day 1 and stayed 94-95% for all 45 days
- Ten-for-ten countries · Every one of the top 10 countries voted لا, Tunisia included
- Gender split, same verdict · Both men and women rejected the paper by double-digit ratios
