The Village Kitchen won the High Peak cafe poll with just 16.9%, a narrow plurality in a field of 54. Tyme Coffee Lounge held first place through most of the contest, but Whaley Bridge’s Village Kitchen moved ahead in the final stretch and finished 45 votes clear.
The result capped a volatile front of three Glossop cafes before a late Whaley Bridge surge. Tyme ended on 14.1%, while Glossop Cafeteria placed third at 9.3%.
