Support for the uniform education system was decisive: Yes received 1,049 of 1,198 votes, or 87.6%, compared with 12.4% for No. The proposal led at every checkpoint across the 254-day poll.

The margin widened from 81% early on to 88% at the finish, with Pakistan’s largest voting bloc also leaning Yes.
