Almost every voter who showed up said the same thing. "Yes" opened above 99% on day one and never dipped below 98% again across all 78 days — not a lead, a consensus. By the close, 4,517 people had agreed against just 102 holdouts, a 44-to-1 ratio that barely moved the whole way through.

The men in the room drove it hardest: over 2,900 male "Yes" votes to under 1,400 female, and men also made up the bulk of the tiny "No" camp too. Indonesia supplied the overwhelming share of placed votes, with the U.S., Ireland, and Japan chipping in a handful more — every single one of them siding with the majority.

  • 98% floor · "Yes" never dropped below 98% on any single day
  • 44-to-1 margin · 4,517 "Yes" votes swamped just 102 "No" votes
  • Men lead 2-to-1 · 2,948 male vs. 1,396 female voters picked "Yes"
  • Universal country agreement · Every top country, from Indonesia to Japan, leaned "Yes"
