"Quando nasce un amore" opened at 65% on day one and never dropped below 60% across all 216 days — not a lead, a plateau. It closed with 1,471 votes, 6.5 times the runner-up's total. That's not a horse race; that's one song and everybody else.
The real fight was for second, and nobody won it: "La donna cannone" topped the chasers at just 9.3%, with the other five songs packed into a tight 5.5%-6.5% band, indistinguishable from each other. Women drove the landslide — the winner pulled 403 female votes to 43 male, a 90/10 split — and almost none of its support came from self-declared fans.
