In a Facebook poll of 7,133 respondents, 62.5% chose “Weltmeister!”. How we count
It wasn't close for long. Early on, voters flirted with heartbreak — "Platz 4" led on day 1, "Vizeweltmeister" briefly seized it by day 3, and the lead flipped three times inside the first week alone. Then on day 8, "Weltmeister!" took over and simply never let go, climbing from 31% ahead to a commanding 62% margin by the end.
The final tally: 62.5% of 7,133 voters called an outright title, five times more than the runner-up pick "Vizeweltmeister" at 10%. Confidence, not caution, defined this crowd — after day 85 the standings barely moved at all, holding rock-steady through the final stretch. Germany itself voted almost identically to the world, and the gender split (166 men to 87 women among sampled votes) leaned toward champions on both sides.
