Do you think an arrest will be made in the Haleigh Cummings case?
by Nancy Grace
In a Facebook poll of 7,466 respondents, 71.8% chose “Yes”. How we count
Doubt about an arrest was almost nonexistent early on: Yes opened at 88% and climbed to a peak of 96% by day 7, holding above 90% for two months straight. From there, belief eroded in a slow, unbroken drift — never a lead change, just steady attrition, down to 80% by day 259 and 72% by day 525, where it locked in place.
The final 220+ days show a poll frozen at 72-73% Yes, suggesting engagement itself dried up even as the case stayed unresolved. Of 7,466 votes across 747 days, men outvoted women roughly 2-to-1 on both sides, and the U.S. dominated turnout (520 votes) while leaning Yes just like the overall result — a rare case where the loud crowd and the quiet crowd agreed.
- Early consensus · Yes hit 96% by day 7, a near-unanimous verdict.
- The long fade · Yes dropped from 96% to 72% over 747 days, no reversals.
- Plateau ending · Result held flat at 72-73% for the final 220+ days.
- Gender split · Men outvoted women about 2-to-1 on both Yes and No.
