Casey Anthony's fair-trial question resolved fast, then went quiet for the rest of its run. No held the lead on the opening day's lone vote, but Yes flipped it by day 2 and kept building, cresting near 80% around day 18 before easing back down. By day 38 the margin landed on 73% — and that exact number didn't budge for 590 more days.

Of 4,328 total votes, the real contest lasted about five weeks; everything after was repetition, not drama. Women cast the overwhelming majority of identified votes on both sides of the debate, and the U.S. and Canada — the poll's two biggest countries — both leaned Yes, with only a stray vote apiece breaking the other way.

  • The only move · Yes overtook No on day 2 and the race was essentially over
  • Frozen margin · 73% locked in by day 38, unchanged for 590 more days
  • Overwhelmingly female · Women cast the large majority of identified votes for both Yes and No
  • Cross-border agreement · U.S. and Canada, the top two countries, both leaned Yes
