Only 25 votes separated the championship favorites. Miami Heat finished first with 540 votes and 26.5%, narrowly ahead of Oklahoma City Thunder’s 515 and 25.3%.
It was a plurality, not a consensus: nearly three quarters of voters chose somebody else. The largest identified country bloc, the United States, leaned toward runner-up Oklahoma City rather than Miami.
