In a Facebook poll of 4,383 respondents, 14.5% chose “6) John Kennedy College (DISQUALIFIED)”. How we count
Gaëtan Raynal State College led early, but by day 3 John Kennedy College took over. Then came the swings: Sookdeo Bissoondoyal SC grabbed the lead on day 15, lost it a day later, regained it on day 17, and watched John Kennedy retake it on day 20 — the second-to-last day of the count. When voting closed, it was 634 to 633: one vote apart out of 4,383 cast.
Neither result actually stands: both John Kennedy College and Sookdeo Bissoondoyal SC were disqualified, handing the real title to third-place Dr Maurice Curé State College at 7%. With 36 schools splitting the field, the two disqualified rivals combined for under 29% of the vote — a five-swing war fought over a title neither school could keep.
- One-Vote Margin · 634 to 633 — the tightest finish the count allows.
- Five Lead Changes · Top spot flipped hands five times across 21 days.
- Disqualified Frontrunners · Both #1 and #2 finishers were disqualified from the title.
- Fragmented Field · 36 schools split the vote; the leader took just 14.5%.
