Haifa Wehbe took it by 1.3 points, but the real story is who got her there. Her voters ran 62% male; Marwan Khoury's ran the mirror image, 64% female. Two songs, two audiences, and a margin thin enough that either crowd could have flipped it.
Neither side ever built a mandate — eight songs split the field, and the winner closed at just 26.2% of 2,355 votes. Third-place Ayman Zbib still pulled 16%, and the geography tracked the gender line: the US and Egypt backed Haifa, while Jordan and Algeria stuck with Marwan.

- Female vote · 64% of Marwan's voters were women
- Final margin · Just 1.3 points separated the top two
