More than half the 1,131 voters chose the swirling method: 53.6%, or 606 votes. The “pull the lever and hope for the best” method followed at 25.6%, while the DQ up-and-down method reached 20.8%.
The swirling method led at every checkpoint, finishing with more support than the other two techniques combined. The preference was also female-leaning, with 47 female votes compared with 24 male votes.
