ALA Signal Butte led almost the entire race, including a commanding 64% share held for three straight days near the very end. Then, on the final day of a 31-day poll, the lead flipped one last time: ALA Ironwood Elementary closed at 56.4% (1,553 votes) to Signal Butte's 34.7% (955), the third and final lead change of the race.

The frontrunners didn't share a crowd. Recorded voters for ALA Ironwood Elementary skewed entirely female, while ALA Signal Butte pulled in real male support alongside its female base. Two different audiences spent a month trading the lead — and it was one of them surging late that decided it.
