In a Facebook poll of 4,072 respondents, 11.7% chose “احمد السقا”. How we count
احمد السقا grabbed the lead on day one, lost it to جورج وسوف by day two, and took it back for good on day nine. From there it wasn't a chase — it was a freeze: across 22 names splitting the vote, his margin sat locked between 10 and 12 points for the next 138 days straight, closing at just 11.7% of 4,072 votes, the thinnest kind of plurality.
The field's fracture cut along real lines. شيرين عبد الوهاب was the only name pulled majority-female — 134 women to 108 men — while احمد السقا and منير ran nearly 3-to-1 male. Geography split just as cleanly: Egypt anchored his home lead, but the diaspora scattered — Algeria to مارسيل خليفة, Tunisia and Lebanon to جورج وسوف, Morocco to سميرة سعيد.
