The romance skeptics jumped out fast: "Amy and Ricky should be together" grabbed two-thirds of early votes and held first place through the entire 8-day run, never once giving up the lead. But the margin didn't hold — by the final day it was clinging to a 33% edge that had shrunk from 75% at its peak.
The real fight happened behind it. "Totally excited" and "shouldn't have lied to their parents" closed so hard that the top two options finished just 1.8 points apart, 29.9% to 28.1%. Add America's lean toward "too young," and all four options ended within 13 points of each other — nobody ran away with anything.
