Chi vincerà i mondiali di Sud Africa 2010?
by Urban Calcio
In a Facebook poll of 2,886 respondents, 24.2% chose “Italia”. How we count
Spain opened on top, but by day 6 Italia passed it and never gave it back — the entire contest, decided in the first week, then 50 days of nothing changing the order. That stability hides the real story: Italia's cushion over Spain and Argentina kept shrinking as the poll aged, from a 4-5 point gap down to essentially flat by the finish.
Nine countries split this vote, and the winner still only managed 24.2% — not even a quarter of the room. Spain (21.7%) and Argentina (20.2%) trailed by whiskers, England and Brazil split another fifth between them, and two separate Portogallo entries plus Francia's 9 votes mopped up the scraps. Italia's win is a plurality among rivals, not a knockout.
- Settled by day 6 · Italia passed Spain in the first week and the order never flipped again.
- Shrinking margin · Italia's lead over the field narrowed from ~5 points to near-flat by the end.
- No majority anywhere · Winner Italia took just 24.2% across nine crowded options.
- Home-turf tilt · Italy supplied 94 voters and leaned hard toward Italia.
