Solve a discussion between my husband and myself: I would let my (usually) responsible 9 1/2 year old son bike 4 or 5 blocks, out of sight, to a little store and back? (all neighborhood roads)

I'm obsessing over treat bags for the kids birthdays. Is it ok NOT to treat bag??
