For all Yacht Captains, I ask your help and opinion. I need you help to create a common standard for the shipyard to paint the anchor chains for depth intervals. I was raised with the method of “Go Rub Your Balls With Grease”, or Green-Yellow-Blue-White-Green. But over here in the Med I'm told by some captains that this is an outdated rule. It has been alternatively suggested to me to just use Red and White, increasing the amount of marks for each shot (R, RW, RWR, RWRW, RWRWR etc....). Which paint scheme do you prefer (and if you mind telling me the how far apart you like to paint your marks... every shot - 90 feet / 27.432 meters? Or is that too far apart? Tell me what distance you would choose. This will be for yachts ranging from 25 meters to 40 meters long. Thank you!
