Intersex people are individuals born with any of several variations in sex characteristics including chromosomes, gonads, sex hormones, or genitals that, according to the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, "do not fit the typical definitions for male or female bodies". While the frequency of babies born intersex may vary, it is probably at least a “1 in 2000″ (.05%) statistic. Meaning 1 out of 2000 babies will have a combination of physical characters that make it hard to call the baby male or female, because of variations in sexual anatomy. Should we be able to have a way to refer to these people as other than male or female?
