Nobody came close to a majority. Krzysztof Pindera topped the field with just 25.2% of 3,208 votes, edging K. Komandera by two points and Maciek Czarniak by three — a photo contest that ended in a near-four-way pileup, with R. Przondziono the lone washout at 0.7%.
But the loudest voting bloc never got its way. Poland, the single largest country of origin among identified voters, broke hardest for Karolina Świder — who led the standings from day one and held a steady 38-point cushion over Czarniak deep into the run, only to finish fourth overall once votes outside Poland piled in behind Pindera.
