Seat belts do more harm than good and in my day we lived without seat belts and did just fine.

Are you kidding?!? Not only is it dangerous but it's illegal. Most accidents happen within a mile of home. If my car is moving my child is safely secured in a government approved seat.

It's not your driving that you have to worry about, someone could be distracted and hit you. I would never let my child or infant ride in a vehicle without being secured in an approved safety seat. You never know what might happen.
