Bringing an animal back to life - an outlandish and impossible task. Or is it? Scientists have recently combined modern science and technology to develop a way to bring animals, who have been declared extinct, back to life. This process is popularly known as de-extinction. Now the question shifts from "if it is possible" to "if it is ethical". Introducing a newly-resurrected species into an environment that has evolved and changed over time could throw off the entire balance of that world, possibly causing other animals to perish and even go extinct themselves. Many claim that it is like playing God and that we do not have that right. On the other hand, do we have a moral responsibility to try and revive species that are only extinct because of humans? It is no secret that the human race has been the cause of many species’ extinction, whether by hunting, destroying their environment, or multiple other reasons. So, is it the right decision to give these animals another chance at life?
