Your 2nd grader informs you that one student in their class had a temper tantrum/"meltdown" today. The child wasn't physically violent to anyone. The rest of the class was moved to another classroom while the one student continued said tantrum, alone, in the empty classroom. Was this handled correctly?
Yes - just yes.
Yes - give the child throwing the tantrum his/her space.
Yes - how dare someone touch the child throwing the tantrum to remove them from the classroom!
No - the child throwing the tantrum should have been removed by teacher/principal or police officer if needed.
