For 23 of this poll's 25 days, the race belonged to two people. Bridgette Gordon and Aubrey Spath swapped the lead eight separate times, trading the top spot as late as day 23 with barely a percentage point between them. Stephanie Smith sat outside that fight entirely — until day 24, when a late surge put her in front for good.

The final margin was four-tenths of a point: 371 votes to 361, Smith over Gordon, out of 2,537 cast. The United States cast the poll's largest single bloc of votes and broke for Aubrey Spath, not the winner — proof this contest split geography as sharply as it split the lead.

  • Photo finish · Smith edged Gordon by just 10 votes, 371 to 361.
  • Late surge · Smith led for the first time only on day 24 of 25.
  • Two-way tug-of-war · Bridgette Gordon and Aubrey Spath traded the lead eight times before day 24.
  • Geographic split · The largest bloc, the U.S., backed Aubrey Spath instead of the winner.
