In a Facebook poll of 2,589 respondents, 54.2% chose “No, I have not used gifting.”. How we count
"No, I have not used gifting" opened at 47% of day-one votes, crossed a majority by day two, and stayed in the 51-55% band for all 291 days that followed — a hold long enough that the poll never recorded a single lead change. It closed with 1,402 votes, more than triple the 468 earned by the next-largest answer.
The three ways to say yes never combined forces: giving only (17.4%), receiving only (10.4%), and doing both (18.1%) stayed separate lanes, so no single alternative ever got within 30 points of the lead. The sample skews almost entirely non-fan — just 6 of 2,589 voters were page fans — with the U.S. supplying the largest identified bloc, 101 votes, also breaking for 'No.'
