The poll’s decisive move came at the very end. Tymoshenko overturned Poroshenko’s long-held lead in the final checkpoint, turning a late contest into an eight-vote victory.
Tymoshenko finished with 503 votes, or 33.7%, while Poroshenko had 495 votes and 33.1%. Yaros remained third at 12.4%.
