Alexander McQueen finished first with 27.3% and 423 votes in a 22-option field, but the path was anything but simple. After leading in the opening checkpoints, McQueen slipped behind Manolo Blahnik, then ended 218 votes ahead.

Manolo Blahnik led from the middle stretch onward and attracted four women in the recorded gender breakdown, while McQueen drew two. Bulgaria, the largest listed country bloc with nine voters, leaned toward Manolo Blahnik.
