Who was your favorite leader of punjab last year 2014 ?
In a Facebook poll of 7,229 respondents, 93% chose “ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ BHAGWANT MANN”. How we count
· Share: ···
From day one, ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ BHAGWANT MANN opened at 94% and never wavered, holding a commanding 93% lead through all 57 days against ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ Capt AMRINDER SINGH. No turning point, no late surge from rivals — 6,724 of 7,229 votes locked in for one name, a runaway with zero drama in the standings.
The real story is where those votes came from: India led with 1,526 votes, but Canada (1,064) and Australia (646) show the diaspora voting just as hard for a Punjab leader from abroad. Sidhu and the Badals split the scraps — under 3% each — while write-in votes for Mann under alternate spellings hint his support ran even deeper than the tally shows.
- Runaway Winner · Bhagwant Mann took 93% (6,724 votes), 27x his nearest rival
- No Lead Change · Mann led at 94% on day 1 and every day after
- Diaspora Power · Canada and Australia combined out-voted every country but India
