Ice Cream opened huge — 57% of the vote on day one — and held a commanding lead for months, still ahead by 30-plus points past day 100. But More Chocolate closed the gap in the background, and on day 155, less than a fifth of the poll's 884-day run, it overtook for good. Everything after belonged to chocolate.

For the remaining 729 days, nothing moved. More Chocolate's share climbed steadily from 28% at the overtake to a final 46%, while Ice Cream slid all the way to 24.8%. The one real split was geographic: the US and UK backed chocolate, while India and Canada stayed loyal to ice cream — not enough to turn it back.
