In a Facebook poll of 3,247 respondents, 33.4% chose “Tie Dye”. How we count
Tie Dye took this one clean: 33.4% of 3,247 votes, nearly 400 ahead of second-place Stripes/Plaid at 22%. It held that same double-digit edge on day one and never gave it up over 41 days — this wasn't a nail-biter, it was a decisive preference stated early and confirmed by everyone who showed up after.
The gender data explains a chunk of the order below Tie Dye: Zebra pulled 62 women to just 4 men, the most lopsided split in the field, enough to push it past Skulls into third. Skulls skewed the other way (51 men, 36 women), while Butterflies drew women exclusively. Leopard and Butterflies brought up the rear, never cracking 5% between them.
- Decisive margin · Tie Dye beat Stripes/Plaid by over 11 points, 33.4% to 22%.
- Zebra's gender skew · 62 women voted Zebra versus just 4 men.
- Butterflies, women only · All 13 Butterflies votes with known gender came from women.
