In a Facebook poll of 3,458 respondents, 40.8% chose “Vaffanculo non voglio votare!”. How we count
"Vaffanculo non voglio votare!" ("I don't want to vote!") trailed for nineteen days while "La amo!" ran the show outright. Then on day 20 it overtook — and the margin never moved again. For the next 255 days the gap held in a narrow 41-47% band, day after day, vote after vote, until the poll closed with the refusal option on 40.8% (1412) and "La amo!" second at 33.3% (1151).
The rest of the field barely stirred the count: "Bellissima!" settled into a stable third at 19.5% (673), while "Na merda!" and "Brutta!" never cracked single digits combined. Male voters outnumbered women on every option, and only one of 3,458 voters was an actual fan of the page — this crowd showed up as outsiders, and said so.
