In a Facebook poll of 3,016 respondents, 25.9% chose “7 ‹ Riley Parrish”. How we count

Share: ···

Riley Parrish topped a 56-name ballot with 780 votes — just 25.9% of 3,016 cast. That means roughly three in four voters backed someone else, scattered across 55 rivals. Runner-up Leo Stott and Cara Oldham managed only 13.4%, so even the top two combined couldn't crack 40% between them.

The spread bottoms out fast: 25 of the 56 nominees pulled fewer than 10 votes apiece, and five never registered a single vote. Riley Parrish's win also leaned heavily on one audience — 577 of 768 gender-identified votes were women, a 3-to-1 tilt sharper than almost anyone else on the ballot.

  • Plurality, not majority · Winner took just 25.9% against 55 other nominees
  • Long tail · 25 nominees drew fewer than 10 votes each
  • Gender tilt · Winner's support ran 3-to-1 female, 577 of 768 votes
  • Stable margin · Lead held near 20-26% from day 1, never a real contest
