As members of the association, How would you rate FEDGOKOSA as an organisation, taking into consideration the performance of the executives, engagement of the general house’s opinion by the management, achievements of the association thus far etc how satisfied are you with the general performance of the association?

3. The Abuja chapter of FEDGOKOSA recently held elections, as participants of that election; were the publicity of the elections and electoral process satisfactory? Do you feel the electorate were carried along in the process, and did the election s represent the interest of the general house? How satisfied were you with the outcome of the elections?

Regarding the prospect of online participation/ collaboration; given the real geographical constraint of having 8000 members spread out in various localities and the impossibility of convening every one with their various schedules in order to collaborate, there is now a motion to formally adopt sophisticated social media platform to facilitate discussions and decision making process, capitalising on the various advantages of ICT tools; using these tools thousands of people can have virtual meetings online contrasted to the current systems where meetings hardly have up to a hundred people. Early voting:Considering the fact that members of the association are spread out across the country and the association elections are usually held at meetings where members have to be physically present to participate, thereby excluding members who are not physically available at the moment but want to participate in decision making process. An alternative (early voting) is being suggested. If early voting is adopted, it would allow members to vote virtually within a stipulated period of time for candidates of their choice prior to the scheduled election date where present members will cast their votes. Details below; Elective Positions The following elective positions are vacant and available for contest, namely; • Chairman • Vice-Chairman • General Secretary • Assistant General Secretary • Financial Secretary • Treasurer • Public Relations Officer (PRO) • Welfare Officer • Provost Sale of Nomination Forms Nomination forms into various elective offices stated above will be sold to interested candidates at the specified rates.
