Part A: Legitimacy of not requiring class attendance: What is your policy (or policies) regarding the required or not required class attendance in your courses? (Please justify your choice in the comments!)
a. Class attendance is always mandatory and exceptional limited number of absences have to be fully excused by a serious events/conditions that prevented a student to attend a class (illness, family emergency, sports game etc.);
b. It depends on the class (class size, on-line vs. non-online);
c. Class attendance is not mandatory; it is up to the students to decide how to participate in the course and the intensity of their engagement;
d. Students’ total non-participation and non-engagement in the class is respected, legitimate, and not punished in any way;
e. Other (please explain in the comment below).
