Julio Rios led from day one and never dipped below the field: 33-34% every single day of the eight-day run, finishing at 928 votes. This wasn't a nail-biter — Sergio Puglia (798) and Luis Carballo (736) traded second place behind him, but neither ever closed the gap. Vázquez Melo trailed the whole way, settling for 297.

The gender split tells its own story: Puglia's coalition ran nearly 60% male (474M/313F), while Rios split almost dead even (462M/456F) — a broader base that helps explain why he held steady instead of surging or fading. Geography backed the same result: Uruguay and the United States, the two biggest country blocs, both leaned Rios.

  • Steady margin · Rios held 32-34% every day of the 8-day poll
  • Puglia's male skew · Puglia's voters ran 60% male, the sharpest gender lean
  • Broad coalition · Rios split evenly 462M/456F, unlike his rivals
  • Geography agreed · Uruguay and the U.S., the top two countries, both leaned Rios
