Which rapper would you most like Cher to collaborate with?

Jay-Z and Tinie Tempah separated by four votes out of 4,079 — 31.4% to 31.3%. Jay-Z opened with a real cushion, up 41% to Tinie Tempah's share on day one, then watched it erode in a straight line for 198 days without ever surrendering the lead outright.

The gap is a math trick built on geography. The UK sent more voters than any other country — 154 — and it wasn't close there: they wanted Tinie Tempah. Ireland's 27 votes broke for Drake. Everywhere smaller — Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Germany, Romania — went Jay-Z. A home-turf favorite got outvoted by the rest of the map, by four votes.

• Photo finish · 1,279 to 1,275 — a four-vote margin across 4,079 ballots.
• UK dissent · Britain's largest bloc (154 votes) backed Tinie Tempah, not the winner.
• Slow bleed · Jay-Z's lead shrank from 41% to 31% over 198 days, never flipping.
