In a Facebook poll of 12,142 respondents, 25.3% chose “J'ai laissé”. How we count
Je me lâche opened in front on day 1, but J'ai laissé overtook it by day 2 and ruled for 51 days. Day 53 flipped it back: Je me lâche grabbed the lead and never released it through day 388, the longest stretch of dominance in the poll's run. Yet when all 12,142 votes were tallied, J'ai laissé still finished on top — 25.3% to just 14.6%, a stunning reversal of the daily leaderboard.
The real story is who showed up. Every top song skewed heavily female — Je me lâche's fans ran 10 men to 110 women, La rumeur 7 to 98. Almost no declared page fans voted at all, just 1 of 12,142. France supplied the bulk of geotagged votes and leaned Je me lâche, while the smaller US bloc broke for eventual winner J'ai laissé.
