Vocaloid fans picked a side early and stayed there: YouTube opened above 85% on day one and Nico Nico douga spent the entire run stuck in a narrow 11-15% band, never once threatening 15%. Over 744 days and thousands of votes, the margin didn't wobble — it hardened, closing at 88.4% to 11.6%.

The only real movement was YouTube tightening its grip: up from 86% early on to 89% through the back half of the poll before settling at 88.4%. Ten countries posted top vote counts, and nine of them favored YouTube — only Japan, home turf for Nico Nico douga, broke the pattern.
