Momentum snapped into place almost instantly: by day two the split was already 94%, and for the next 263 days it barely moved, drifting between 94% and 96% without a single dip below. 2,690 of 2,849 voters landed on the same side — a poll that spent its entire life settled.

The 159 dissenters weren't a random sample, though: 71% of No voters were male, versus 52% among Yes voters — the closest this poll gets to a real divide. Loyalty didn't drive either side — just 6 self-declared fans voted total, and one of them still voted No.
