Fans threw 19 names at Μιχάλης Χατζηγιάννης, and none of them came close to a majority. Έλενα Παπαρίζου led from day one and finished at 24.7% — real separation from second-place Άννα Βίσση at 10.4%, but still a plurality claimed by barely a quarter of 2,422 voters, with three out of four backing someone else entirely.

The rest of the field never consolidated behind a clear alternative. Onirama, Δέσποινα Βανδή and Σάκης Ρουβάς all cleared 6%, and six more acts landed between 4% and 5.3% — a long, flat tail rather than a two-horse race. Παπαρίζου's cushion held steady near 22-25% for all 102 days; it just never had to fight anyone bigger than a tenth of the vote.
