In a Facebook poll of 2,623 respondents, 70.3% chose “Nathan - the lippy one”. How we count
Nathan opened at 58% on day one and the field spent 443 days failing to lay a glove on him. His floor across the entire run was 49% — for one single day — before he climbed back and settled into the low-to-mid 70s for most of the poll's life, finishing at 70.3% with 1,843 votes. Simon, the only other name that ever got within shouting distance, still ended nearly 53 points back.
The also-rans tell the real story: Kelly, Alisha and Curtis combined for under 13% of the vote, and not one of their voters was a self-identified fan of the show — all 329 of them came in as outsiders. Nathan pulled the only fan votes in the whole poll, drew the bigger share of women (265 to 218 men), and topped every single country in the top ten, from the UK's 127 voters to Spain's 7.
